Our private lane - leading to a peaceful holiday
Snapdown Farm is situated in an Area of Great Landscape Value, in the heart of glorious unspoilt North Devon countryside, and is approached down our private tree lined half mile lane.
It is very safe for children - with space for them to run and have a wonderful time, and is ideal for both country loving families and couples, with sheep, goats, ponies and extensive wildlife on the land. A car is essential, as public transport is virtually non-existent in the immediate vicinity.
There are just nine holiday caravans - well spread out in a lovely peaceful country setting. Each has a hard standing alongside for a car, and each has wooden seats and a picnic table outside.

 The luxury 3 bedroom caravans are in their own field In addition to the six standard caravans, we now have an extra three luxury 3 bedroom caravans that have been situated in a secluded location in their own field - they are surrounded by trees and have lovely views over a wild flower meadow, teaming with wildlife.

There is plenty of space for children to run and play
There are barbecues for your use, and there is plenty of space well away from passing traffic for cricket and ball games.
A fenced children’s play area is in a small wood adjoining the caravans - so the children are within easy reach, yet just out of the way. Also they and you can play table tennis in one of the buildings just across the lane - if you are keen players bring your bats and balls.
We rescue goats, and many other animals and you and your children would be very welcome to meet them and hear their stories.

Dogs and other well behaved pets welcome!
Well behaved pets are welcome, and Snapdown offers a wonderful holiday for people with dogs - but we do ask that you please bring a blanket or bed for them to lie on, and also please don’t leave them alone in the caravans.
The little wood, ‘Cackles Corner’ (which used to be home for the chickens), is a haven for birds of all sorts, as are the surrounding fields and hedges. Take a walk through the 13 acres of ‘Snapdown Wood’, home to badgers, foxes, buzzards and other wildlife. For your evening stroll, there are walks through the fields and woods on the 107 acre North Devon farm.
If you are very lucky (and quiet) you may spot some wild red Exmoor deer - a truly lovely sight, and at dawn and dusk you may spot a badger.
